The main components of the electrical system consists of the battery, alternator and the starter. The malfunctioning of any one of these can present major problems to the operability of your vehicle.

ALTERNATOR

The alternator is a belt-driven device that produces electricity which sustains the charge in the battery which in turn powers your electrical devices.

BATTERY

The battery stores power and helps to start your engine and give power to accessories such as your headlights, horn, radio, and other electrical accessories.

STARTER

When your turn the ignition key, the battery supplies power to the starter motor which is used to turn the engine crankshaft which then starts the engine through compression. Though it is only used when you start up your vehicle, it is uses the most power.
